Julia met Nic during a formal interview. She applied for a part-time barista position, but during the interview revealed that she was an amazing cake decorator. She is a full-time student and will be at Little Loaf until her desired career takes her further, but for now, we are lucky enough to have her! Julia felt connected to her during their first meeting as they both went to school in Boone and have a love for the outdoors/mountains. When Nic initially showed Julia some of her cake creations, it was a no brainer to hire her. She is a super calm and peaceful presence, she needs little-to-no guidance to complete a task, she has knowledge of the product and experience as a baker… the list goes on! Right now she is working up front making coffee and helping customers a few shifts a week, and working one shift in the back with the bakers. It seems that, like many others on the team, she works in multiple positions and excels in all of them! We are extremely grateful to have her for as long as we can and cannot wait to maintain a friendship beyond her stay with us. All bakeries need a Nic and we hit the jackpot with her!
