Pasta Class

Pasta Class

with Chris (hosted at Little Loaf Bakery)

Cost: $80

Tagliatelle w/ Bolognese

In this class, you will learn to make a traditional egg dough pasta by hand using only the most basic tools needed to create a dough that is the basis of many pasta shapes. Tagliatelle is a medium-width, hand-cut strand pasta that is found throughout the peninsula under several names but is most famously known for the Tagliatelle alla Bolognese from, you guessed it, Bologna.

This is an active class, meaning that you will be participating in every step of the preparation of your ingredients to create a delicious Bolognese at home after the class. You will go home with a fresh batch of Tagliatelle, that you will mix, knead & cut by hand. All of the ingredients for the Bolognese Sauce, that you will cut in class to make it a very effortless process to cook the dish once you are home.

Due to the nature of this class, there are a couple of things you'll need to bring with you to participate fully. These are items we just don't have enough of to support everyone, also I find it is really nice to get to use your own utensils, knives especially; when learning a new kitchen skill or recipe as opposed to using someone else's which may vary widely from what you have at home.

What you'll need:

- a chef's knife

- cutting board

For those who attended any of the Oriecchette classes in the early spring, you can expect the same fun atmosphere but a far more in-depth pasta & sauce creation.

*For those who are not meat eaters, I am happy to provide the ingredients for a mushroom bolognese as opposed to the classic meat version. Please make note of this preference when booking your slot. I can not, however, adjust this for anyone who is dairy-free, gluten-free, or vegan.
